The secret to revving up your sex life
If you want yet another great good reason to exercise, it doesn’t get much better than this. Regular exercise can improve your libido. Do you need any other incentive to ramp up the old fitness routine?
Regular exercise improves the circulation of blood around all parts of your body and it’s this improved blood flow which makes you more receptive, heightens your arousal levels, and improves your general fitness to make the whole experience more enjoyable for both parties.
For guys who find things aren’t working as well downstairs as they’d like, then try upping the ante on cardio workouts. A strong contributor to erectile function is good cardiovascular health. Exercise assists in lowering blood pressure to keep arteries healthy, and make sure everything is working a-okay.
Here are some simple exercises which will go a long way to improving your sex life.
Walking at a quick pace is the simplest way to improve your cardio exercise every day – aim for at least 30 minutes of brisk movement per day. Better still, go for a jog whenever you can.
Sex can really test your endurance. So swimming three times a week for 30 minutes each time may improve your energy rating. If you still need some encouragement, one Harvard University study of 160 male and female swimmers in their 60s actually said their sex lives were still comparable to when they were in their 40s!
If things are really sluggish in the sack, then hitting the gym for strength training, or just lifting some weights at home could be just what the doctor ordered. This type of training helps the body to produce testosterone. If you’re not keen on weights, no problem. Focus on muscle building exercises such as push-ups, sit-ups and crunches.
Mastering a few yoga positions is great for improving flexibility, improving your stamina, and teaching you how to focus your mind and energy.
So what on earth is a Kegel? It’s a pretty nifty little exercise which strengthens your pelvic floor, which can lead to better sex. Whenever you need to urinate, squeeze your pelvic muscles to stop the flow to get used to the sensation. Once you get the hang of it, do these exercises multiple times a day.
Not only will these exercises improve your physical health, they’ll also do wonders for you mentally. Exercise boosts endorphins levels, those “feel good” hormones that lift your mood and are linked to arousal and pleasure. Plus it’s no secret that people who exercise regularly generally feel better about themselves.
So what are you waiting for? It’s time to get busy, to get busy!
