Join Pink Ribbon yoga to help beat cancer
What: If you love practicing yoga and want to raise money for a good cause, Cancer Council are holding Pink Ribbon Yoga classes to support women affected by breast and gynaecological cancers. Around 50 women are diagnosed with the illness every day in Australia, but survival rates are increasing due to prevention programs, support services and world-class research.
The first session is an acrovinyasa class, which focuses on synchronising breath in movement, building strength and finding balance. It will feel more like a dance with gravity, as you do a sequenced series of aerial yoga postures with a partner.
Why: A great way to maintain a healthy lifestyle while raising awareness and funds for women’s cancers.
Who: Everyone is welcome to attend, from absolute beginners to experienced yogis. Ticket prices are $25.
When: Wednesday, 9 March from 5.45pm to 6.45pm. Enquire now for more dates.
Where: Hickson Road Reserve, Hickson Road, The Rocks, NSW 2000.
